Root Hairs take in water.
1. Cells on plant roots grow into long hairs, stick out in soil.
2. Each branch of root covered in millions of microscopic hairs.
3. This gives a big surface area for absorbing water from soil.

-there's a higher concentration of water in soil than in plant, so water is taken in via osmosis.
