2.77B understand why selective reabsorption of glucose occurs at the proximal convoluted tubule

• After the Glomerular Filtrate enters the Bowman's Capsule, all glucose is immediately re-absorbed at the Proximal Convulated Tubule by Active Transport. (*this needs to be learnt for the exam!)
• Nephron is adapted by having Mitochondria to provide energy for ATP for Active Transport of glucose molecules.
• Nephron is also adapted by having thin membranes so distance of Active Transport is short, allowing efficient rate of Active Transport.
