3.22 understand that most phenotypic features are the result of polygenic inheritance rather than single genes

Most characteristics are controlled by more than one gene and these are described as being polygenic.
Polygenic characteristics have phenotypes that show a wide range of combinations in features.

Example: eye color can be controlled by several genes, therefore, several phenotypes shown beyond just brown and blue, there can also be green and hazel.
